Graduation Date: Spring 2024

Where did you find yourself immediately after graduation?
With an October start date, I spent my summer working at a restaurant and traveling. I highly recommend taking time to travel and relax before starting your first corporate job if you are able.

What are you up to now?
Now, I am a Healthcare Analyst at Huron Consulting Group within the Clinical Enterprise capability. My daily responsibilities include conducting observations, analyzing data, and communicating key findings to improve hospital operations.

Which internships, organizations, or classes prepared you for your first job?
As part of my SPHU capstone internship, I volunteered in the Ochsner Medical Center Emergency Department, where I was afforded practical knowledge of hospital operations that proved directly applicable to my role. Courses in data/statistical analytics were also helpful preparation.

Do you have any advice for public health students?
Two things: 1. Tulane alumni were the most helpful resource in my job search. Don’t be afraid to reach out (and keep reaching out)! Fellow Tulanians are happy to help. 2. If you are interested in healthcare consulting, do not be intimidated by not being a Business major. A passion for healthcare and public health is just as valuable in my role as the business skills piece is.
