These BSPH undergrads are now published authors!
They enrolled in Environmental Pollution & Biomarkers of Health (SPHU 3100) last year, taught by Professor Tewodros Godebo. The class tested levels of various metals and elements in common beverages, including fruit juices, plant-based milks, and sports drinks. Their paper entitled “Toxic metals and essential elements contents in commercially available fruit juices and other non-alcoholic beverages from the United States” was just published in the Journal of Food Composition and Analysis.
